Director of Engineering

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse, fully remote engineering team
• ▹Build a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and psychological safety
• ▹Structure engineering pods for maximum autonomy and alignment, with clear career ladders and succession planning
• ▹Partner closely with Product Management leadership on empowered, customer-outcome-focused teams
• ▹Oversee the architectural integrity, security, and performance of high-volume, low-latency ad tech infrastructure
• ▹Balance new feature delivery with continuous codebase modernization and cost optimization
• ▹Maintain robust data privacy, compliance, and security standards across engineering
• ▹Establish and monitor core engineering metrics (DORA or SPACE) to eliminate development bottlenecks
• ▹Lead strategic adoption of AI-augmented development tools to eliminate developer toil
• ▹Quantify the impact of modernization initiatives on cycle times and deployment frequency

Requirements

• ▹Proven, field-tested experience leading and scaling engineering organizations
• ▹Skill in organizational design and structuring engineering teams
• ▹Experience overseeing architecture for high-volume, low-latency systems
• ▹Working knowledge of engineering metrics frameworks (DORA, SPACE)
• ▹Experience driving adoption of AI-augmented development tools
