Infrastructure Engineer (LATAM Time Zone)

Responsibilities

• ▹Daily improvement of service reliability and scalability
• ▹2.5-hour on-call shifts plus one paid weekend on-call per month
• ▹Developing and managing complex hybrid infrastructure (primarily multi-cloud Kubernetes clusters) using an infrastructure-as-code approach
• ▹Managing incidents and participating in the on-call rotation
• ▹Improving platform monitoring and alerting
• ▹Automating repetitive processes to reduce workload
• ▹Planning, designing and executing solutions to reach team goals
• ▹Identifying non-scaling system parts and driving long-term fixes
• ▹Improving documentation

Requirements

• ▹Experience operating mission-critical services and being responsible for reliability/uptime/SLA
• ▹CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) certification
• ▹Americas time zone
• ▹Production experience with containers and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Nomad, etc.)
• ▹Infrastructure automation tools (Helm, Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
• ▹Monitoring solutions (Grafana, Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, BetterUptime, etc.)
• ▹Public cloud provider experience (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.)
• ▹Python and/or Go programming skills
• ▹RDBMS experience
• ▹Systems thinking about edge cases, failure modes and behaviours
• ▹Proficient in Linux and the shell
