Senior Security Engineer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, implement, and improve security controls: hardening, network segmentation, IAM, endpoint security
• ▹Lead the technical direction for cyber security defense: threat detection and vulnerability management
• ▹Partner with ITOps, SysOps, DevOps, and XOps to embed security into the architecture
• ▹Develop and maintain SIEM strategy and surrounding infrastructure
• ▹Educate and coach engineering teams on secure system design

Requirements

• ▹Extensive experience with GCP permissions and security configurations across Kubernetes, Azure, and on-prem environments
• ▹High proficiency in intrusion detection, exploit development, Linux operations and security
• ▹Proven ability to identify gaps in cloud designs and recommend enhancements for authentication and authorization
• ▹Ability to distill complex security risks into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders
• ▹Proven track record of managing large, complex projects autonomously

Nice to have

• ▹CISSP, Google Security Engineer, or GIAC certification
• ▹Hands-on experience with open-source SIEM solutions, Google Security Operations, or Google Security Command Center
