Backend Software Engineer - AI Neobank App (Sweden)

Responsibilities

• ▹Build backend services, APIs and workflows for the AI Neobank app
• ▹Support products across insurance, payments, wallet, savings, investing, travel and financial services
• ▹Design reliable systems for user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, reconciliation, notifications and operations
• ▹Work with product and mobile teams to ship customer-facing journeys quickly
• ▹Integrate with banks, payment gateways, insurers, data providers and other partners
• ▹Improve system reliability, observability, security and performance
• ▹Build systems that are practical, auditable and ready for regulated financial products

Requirements

• ▹3+ years of backend engineering experience
• ▹Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, system design and production debugging
• ▹Experience building scalable services and integrating third-party systems
• ▹Good understanding of security, reliability, data quality and operational edge cases
• ▹Able to make practical trade-offs between speed, quality and risk
• ▹Comfortable working with product, mobile, operations and business teams
• ▹Must be based in Sweden

Nice to have

• ▹Experience in fintech, payments, insurance, lending, banking or regulated products
