Blockchain Software Developer (Unpaid Volunteer)

Responsibilities

• ▹Provide software development and blockchain engineering support across research divisions
• ▹Contribute inputs for Councils established under the BCI Fellowship Scheme
• ▹Support development of Proof-of-Concept DLT applications across sectors like finance and energy
• ▹Attend conferences and events to demonstrate prototypes and engage stakeholders

Requirements

• ▹Relevant degree or training (Computing, Engineering, Math, Physics or similar)
• ▹At least one year of experience developing blockchain systems
• ▹Familiarity with major public chains (Bitcoin, Hyperledger, Ethereum, Tether, EOS, Ripple, Monero)
• ▹Solid knowledge of Linux and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
• ▹Experience with Java, C++, Solidity, JS, Go, Python
• ▹Experience developing smart contracts and knowledge of token standards (e.g. ERC20)
• ▹Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and microservice architectures
• ▹Excellent English writing and communication skills

Nice to have

• ▹Master's or PhD degree
• ▹Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish language skills
• ▹Knowledge of climate change, climate finance and AI topics
