Remote AWS Senior Cloud Architect (Ireland)

Responsibilities

• ▹Architect and design scalable, secure and highly available cloud solutions on AWS using DevOps and cloud-native best practices
• ▹Implement infrastructure as code using CloudFormation or Terraform
• ▹Collaborate with colleagues and clients to deliver technology incrementally and reduce complexity
• ▹Automate deployment, configuration and management of infrastructure via CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub Actions)
• ▹Define and implement monitoring, logging and alerting strategies (CloudWatch or third-party tools)
• ▹Optimize applications for cost, performance and security
• ▹Mentor and guide teams on AWS architecture patterns, DevOps methodologies and operational best practices
• ▹Evaluate and integrate third-party tools and services

Requirements

• ▹5+ years of experience building and/or architecting distributed applications on AWS
• ▹Software development skills with a focus on cloud applications
• ▹Strong proficiency in AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, EC2, API Gateway, IAM and S3
• ▹Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK
• ▹Proficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines
