Responsibilities

• ▹Build customer applications on the D-Wave quantum computer and internal tools
• ▹Ensure successful delivery of projects to achieve business value for customers
• ▹Communicate capabilities with customers and ask probing questions to understand problems
• ▹Gather requirements, lead brainstorming sessions, model use cases mathematically, design and develop quantum hybrid applications
• ▹Build and maintain relationships with leaders across various groups within D-Wave
• ▹Share customer and project-related insights with D-Wave's tools and product teams
• ▹Organize, prepare and present technical information clearly

Requirements

• ▹Master's, PhD, or equivalent in Operations Research, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
• ▹5+ years of professional experience with Python
• ▹Experience working directly with external customers, ideally in a consulting role, identifying requirements and consulting on solutions
• ▹Experience using leading optimisation tools and techniques (Gurobi, CPLEX, genetic algorithms, simulated annealing)
• ▹Strong knowledge of mathematical modeling and optimisation solution techniques
• ▹Experience with version control software such as Git
• ▹Experience building applications to solve complex business problems in a production environment
• ▹Collaborative mindset and solid interpersonal skills
• ▹Experience providing technical leadership on business problems

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn and Networkx is an extra bonus
