Backend Software Engineer - Portugal

Responsibilities

• ▹Own and evolve the core platform: data model, APIs, and services
• ▹Design and build backend systems for the portfolio intelligence layer, including data aggregation, scoring, and analysis at scale
• ▹Build and maintain integrations with tools customers already use
• ▹Make architectural decisions that hold up as the company grows
• ▹Collaborate directly with product and other engineers to move from problem to solution quickly
• ▹Use agentic coding tools as a default part of the workflow

Requirements

• ▹4+ years of backend engineering experience with strong opinions on building durable systems
• ▹Experience with data-heavy systems: modeling, querying, optimizing
• ▹Heavy, deliberate use of AI tools in the daily workflow
• ▹Clear communication and independence

Nice to have

• ▹Experience building or scaling integrations with third-party platforms
• ▹Experience with multi-tenant SaaS at scale
• ▹Experience building features that surface data-driven insights to end users
