Full Stack AI Engineer (Remote in Portugal)

Responsibilities

• ▹Build and ship end-to-end AI applications (backend, data, APIs, UI)
• ▹Apply key AI patterns (RAG, agents, prompt engineering, evaluation)
• ▹Build and scale the AI Platform on Azure (multi-region)
• ▹Own core components: APIM, identity, networking, observability, data
• ▹Establish CI/CD, IaC, testing, and deployment standards
• ▹Integrate with internal and third-party systems (CRM, CX platforms: Zendesk, Genesys, Intercom, Microsoft 365)
• ▹Build APIs, webhooks, and event-driven systems
• ▹Embed GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2 compliance into the platform

Requirements

• ▹Proven experience shipping full-stack applications end-to-end
• ▹Hands-on experience with AI/LLMs (e.g. Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic)
• ▹Experience with RAG, vector databases, and agent-based systems
• ▹Strong backend skills (Python, C#/.NET, or Node.js)
• ▹Frontend capability (React, Next.js, or similar)
• ▹Experience with Azure and cloud architecture
• ▹Familiarity with IaC and CI/CD pipelines
• ▹Experience integrating SaaS platforms via APIs/events
• ▹Working knowledge of security and compliance frameworks

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with CX platforms (Zendesk, Intercom, Genesys)
• ▹Startup/scale-up experience
• ▹Experience building internal platforms or tools
• ▹Exposure to compliance-heavy environments
