Senior Backend Software Engineer (Affirmative Position for Women)

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, code, test, and operate microservices that run iFood's core business logic
• ▹Build frameworks and tools for identifying performance bottlenecks, such as load testing and chaos engineering
• ▹Measure, monitor, and optimize backend performance for high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance
• ▹Participate in product evolution prioritization, basing decisions on data
• ▹Solve production problems on services running on the cloud, especially AWS
• ▹Face and solve scalability, maintainability, and reliability challenges

Requirements

• ▹Passionate about software development, object-oriented and functional programming
• ▹Prior experience designing, developing, and maintaining microservices using Go
• ▹Knowledge of automated testing, distributed systems, and secure development concepts
• ▹Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, queries, and data modeling
• ▹Knowledge of Linux, Infrastructure as Code, networking, Docker, Kubernetes
• ▹Experience with applications supporting millions of transactions per day, 24/7
• ▹Experience with asynchronous communication and concurrency challenges in distributed systems
