Responsibilities

• ▹Design, build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, SSIS and Microsoft Fabric
• ▹Implement ETL/ELT processes and optimize transformations
• ▹Design efficient data schemas and dimensional models in SQL Server, Azure SQL Database and Synapse
• ▹Optimize SQL queries and data structures with indexing and partitioning
• ▹Leverage Microsoft Fabric capabilities: Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Real-Time Analytics, Spark notebooks
• ▹Document architectures, data flows and processes, establishing coding standards and version control
• ▹Contribute ideas for process automation
• ▹Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams: data scientists, business analysts, architects, developers

Requirements

• ▹Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or a related technical field
• ▹6+ years as a Data Engineer in on-premise and cloud environments (Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric)
• ▹Experience with the Microsoft ecosystem: Azure Data Factory, SSIS, SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake
• ▹Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling and relational database design
• ▹SQL optimization and automation skills (Azure Functions, PowerShell, Python)
• ▹Git/Azure DevOps knowledge and technical documentation skills
• ▹Proactive attitude, openness to new technologies such as Microsoft Fabric
• ▹Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish
