Senior Rust Developer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, develop, test and maintain backend services in Rust
• ▹Build reliable REST APIs and asynchronous application components
• ▹Create and maintain data models and integrations with relational data stores
• ▹Write clean, maintainable and well-tested production code
• ▹Take full ownership of backend features from design through delivery and support
• ▹Contribute to frontend applications built with Vue.js and Angular
• ▹Support AWS Glue pipelines and related ETL or data-processing activities where needed
• ▹Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and architectural decisions
• ▹Work effectively within a polyglot codebase, learning adjacent technologies

Requirements

• ▹At least 4 years of professional software development experience
• ▹Solid production experience developing applications or services in Rust
• ▹Strong backend engineering fundamentals: API design, asynchronous programming, data modeling and automated testing
• ▹Experience building maintainable and reliable production systems
• ▹Willingness to contribute to frontend applications built with Vue.js and Angular
• ▹Ability to learn unfamiliar tools, technologies and codebases quickly
• ▹Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with Vue.js, Angular, React or another modern SPA framework
• ▹Experience with AWS services
• ▹Familiarity with AWS Glue or similar ETL and data integration tools
• ▹Experience designing or maintaining data pipelines
• ▹Previous experience working in a polyglot engineering environment
• ▹Interest in growing from a Rust-focused backend role into broader full stack responsibilities
