Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead engineering for a topic team to ship high-quality software on predictable schedules
• ▹Make sure that meetings are effective
• ▹Coach people & the organization
• ▹Provide vision, sense of purpose, and visibility to teams
• ▹Implement process improvements
• ▹Hold regular one-on-ones with engineers: set expectations, provide regular feedback & keep team members accountable (performance reviews)
• ▹Develop a strong two-way feedback loop, sharing organizational context
• ▹Support engineers and help them reach resolution when challenges arise
• ▹Craft a fulfilling and engaging work experience through regular career growth conversations
• ▹Iterate and improve engineering processes and technical culture
• ▹Participate in hiring and onboarding of engineers

Requirements

• ▹Experience leading engineering teams (ideally 2+ years)
• ▹Very strong verbal English communication skills (Spanish is a plus)
• ▹Comfortable with participatory management/servant leadership
• ▹Positive attitude, excellent problem-solving, and critical thinking
• ▹Quality-driven, attention to detail, and pragmatic
• ▹Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and eagerness to learn
