Confirmed Front-End Engineer - Door to Door

Responsibilities

• ▹Work closely with the product manager, product designer and other engineers to ensure the product meets business needs and user requirements
• ▹Design, develop and maintain high-performance, scalable features within the BlaBlaCar product
• ▹Ensure development follows best practices, coding standards and BlaBlaCar's architecture principles
• ▹Work closely with other teams to ensure smooth integration with existing systems
• ▹Participate in design and code reviews
• ▹Interact with people in different roles and backgrounds, sharing technical expertise with technical, product and business stakeholders
• ▹Proactively participate in BlaBlaCar's Front-End Web Engineering Chapter
• ▹Coach and mentor another engineer ramping up on web technologies

Requirements

• ▹Proficiency in TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and React
• ▹First experience with tooling like Git, Docker, Node.js and observability solutions
• ▹Full working proficiency in English
• ▹Ability to take ownership, align with business priorities
• ▹Strong appetite for AI-assisted coding and agentic workflows
• ▹A "share more, learn more" mindset

Nice to have

• ▹Hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• ▹Experience with SEO and web performance optimization
• ▹Past experience with mobile and backend development
