Senior Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Own the technical sales process from introductory meetings through post-sales support
• ▹Discover new use cases for Cloudera's technology with customers
• ▹Design solutions for customer needs based on reference architectures and common patterns
• ▹Demonstrate Cloudera products to customers
• ▹Partner with Account Managers to drive successful sales
• ▹Present product roadmap and vision to customers
• ▹Interface with other Cloudera teams to ensure a consistent customer experience
• ▹Advocate for customer needs to Product Management and Engineering
• ▹Participate in external publicity and evangelism: conferences, meetups, webinars, blogs

Requirements

• ▹At least 5 years in a customer-facing role, ideally pre-sales
• ▹Ability to create and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations
• ▹Experience with some of: Big Data, Data Warehousing or Relational Databases
• ▹In-depth SQL knowledge: query optimization and data model design
• ▹Experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure or GCP
• ▹Knowledge of Data Engineering, Data Science or Machine Learning/AI
• ▹Knowledge of distributed systems, ETL and ETL workflows
• ▹Operations, security and data governance knowledge in enterprise settings
• ▹Unix or Linux experience
• ▹Development experience in Java/OO programming or Python
• ▹Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• ▹Fluent in French and English

Nice to have

• ▹Formal cloud certifications
• ▹Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
