AI Enablement Lead - Data Intelligence

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and maintain core AI orchestration layers, centralized API gateways and reusable frameworks (e.g. advanced RAG architectures, agentic frameworks)
• ▹Collaborate with core engineering teams to embed production-ready generative AI and ML features into the Actian Data Intelligence Platform
• ▹Establish guardrails, evaluation frameworks and monitoring tools for model performance, bias, data privacy and security
• ▹Monitor and manage cloud and API compute spend (token management, open-source vs. commercial models) and optimize latency
• ▹Lead workshops, design blueprints and create documentation so non-AI engineering teams can build AI-driven features confidently
• ▹Drive engineering execution of high-impact AI proofs of concept with production-grade code
• ▹Define and enforce the official AI stack, from vector database selection to semantic caching
• ▹Evaluate partnerships with AI model providers and assess open-source models technically
• ▹Define and track operational metrics for AI enablement, such as developer adoption, time-to-market reduction and ROI of AI tools

Requirements

• ▹Strong background as a Senior AI/ML Engineer, LLMOps Engineer or Software Architect who has built and scaled AI-powered applications in enterprise SaaS or complex data platforms
• ▹Deep expertise in Python or Go, semantic search, vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Milvus, pgvector), orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex) and fine-tuning or prompt engineering of LLMs
• ▹High-agency mindset: proactively build frameworks that solve product teams' bottlenecks
• ▹Software engineering rigor: CI/CD, unit testing for AI (evaluation datasets), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), clean code architecture
• ▹Exceptional leadership and communication skills; influence without direct authority
• ▹Exceptional verbal and written English; ability to turn complex AI architectures into clear business value for executives
