SAP ABAP Developer - Cloud & API Integration (REST, OData, BTP) - Full-time

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹API development and design: design and build modern interfaces (REST, OData) for seamless integration of SAP and non-SAP systems (cloud and on-premise)
• ▹Backend for Frontend: build high-performance backend services with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and Core Data Services (CDS) as the basis for modern SAP Fiori applications
• ▹Data formats and protocols: work daily with modern web standards such as JSON, XML and HTTP, ensuring secure and efficient data exchange
• ▹SAP BTP and Clean Core: actively extend the ERP system via the SAP Business Technology Platform and help implement a Clean Core strategy
• ▹Architecture and code quality: evaluate new SAP technologies, drive architectural decisions and ensure high software quality through code reviews and unit tests

Requirements

• ▹Completed studies in (business) informatics or a comparable education with relevant professional experience
• ▹Very good knowledge of object-oriented ABAP development (ABAP OO)
• ▹Sound practical experience with web technologies and interface design (REST, OData, JSON, API management)
• ▹Know-how in current SAP technologies such as SAP RAP and CDS views, ideally first exposure to SAP BTP or the Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)
