Senior Site Reliability / GitOps Engineer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Drive the development of automation and GitOps as an embedded tech lead
• ▹Closely collaborate on the IS architecture vision
• ▹Design and architect services that IS can offer as products
• ▹Develop infrastructure-as-code practice and continuous automation
• ▹Automate software operations across private and public clouds
• ▹Maintain operational responsibility for Canonical's core services, networks, and infrastructure
• ▹Set up and maintain observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch
• ▹Design, implement, and maintain monitoring and alerting

Requirements

• ▹Significant experience in IT operations automation and Infrastructure as Code
• ▹Experience operating distributed systems
• ▹Troubleshooting, capacity planning, and performance investigation skills
• ▹Experience designing monitoring and alerting systems

Nice to have

• ▹Deeper knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch
• ▹Python scripting experience
