Senior Product Data Scientist

Data Engineer • On-site • Full-time • 📍 Barcelona

As part of the data organization, you'll work to ensure customers have an excellent experience ordering through the Glovo app — from improving checkout to boosting micro-conversions and optimizing the post-order experience. You'll join a team of 7 data specialists within a 30+ person data domain built around knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage advanced statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to solve the highest-impact product and business problems
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to define the product roadmap and strategy, and monitor product metrics and KPIs
  • Drive product discovery, formulate data-driven hypotheses, and turn them into actionable analysis and insights
  • Own analytics tasks end to end within the product development cycle — from ideation and opportunity sizing to experimentation and post-launch impact analysis
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, acting as a strategic and supportive link between technology, business, and product

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience (outside academic or internship settings) in a quantitative analysis role within product-facing teams
  • Demonstrable experience applying statistical modeling and advanced analytics to deliver product-shaping insights and drive decision-making
  • Deep theoretical and applied knowledge of statistical inference, causal inference, and advanced experimentation techniques; experience designing and analyzing large-scale experiments (A/B, multivariate) in digital products
  • Mastery of SQL and Python for Data Science
  • Excellent spoken and written English

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, PowerBI
  • A higher education degree in a scientific discipline such as Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Econometrics
