Responsibilities

• ▹Evolve Cabify's infrastructure platform by building self-service components used across the whole engineering team and by millions of users worldwide.
• ▹Work closely with the Product and Infrastructure teams to design and develop world-class infrastructure components.
• ▹Design and implement tooling to improve the availability, scalability, observability and latency of internal services.
• ▹Increase reliability awareness across teams, support the adoption of reliability principles, and review observability implementations and software architectures.
• ▹Define SLIs, SLOs and SLAs as part of the services' lifecycle.
• ▹Share an on-call schedule for the platform services you own.
• ▹Solve problems on the highly available platform together with other teams and build automation to prevent recurring incidents.
• ▹Participate in the recruiting process to help grow the engineering team.

Requirements

• ▹Solid Unix knowledge, understanding of the networking stack, the OSI model, containers and schedulers, plus familiarity with monitoring, logging and the CAP theorem.
• ▹Strong programming skills in at least one language, with willingness to learn others.
• ▹A natural drive to automate repetitive work and eliminate manual toil.
• ▹Ability to communicate effectively and asynchronously.
• ▹A sense of ownership toward the company, the team and yourself.
• ▹An inclusive, humble mindset that embraces diversity.
