Java Developer (Senior and Junior)

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop and maintain backend services in Java (version 8–11)
• ▹Develop new features, fix bugs and integrate third-party components
• ▹Configure and maintain Apache Tomcat servers
• ▹Work with SOAP APIs for integrations with external systems
• ▹Support logging and monitoring with Log4J
• ▹Review Jira tickets and log time in Jira/Tempo
• ▹Document development work and solutions in Confluence
• ▹Senior level: lead technical efforts, address technical debt and end-of-life components, modernize integrations, mentor junior developers and enforce code quality and architecture best practices

Requirements

• ▹Junior level: 2+ years of Java application development experience and familiarity with Java 8–11
• ▹Junior level: basic understanding of backend frameworks (e.g. Spring, Hibernate), exposure to SOAP web services, Git, basic frontend concepts (HTML, JSP, JavaScript)
• ▹Senior level: 5+ years of professional Java development, strong command of Java 8–11 and modern backend frameworks (Spring, Hibernate)
• ▹Senior level: experience configuring Tomcat, integrating and maintaining SOAP APIs, Log4J and log management practices
• ▹Third-party component integration and version lifecycle management
• ▹Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• ▹Willingness to work with legacy systems and older libraries

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with or willingness to learn the Eclipse development environment
• ▹Basic familiarity with Jira and Tempo (training provided)
