Responsibilities

• ▹Improve how software is built and maintained and actively contribute to product development
• ▹Advocate for and model great quality, tackling difficult and subtle system issues
• ▹Use systematic debugging and foster a culture of observability and monitoring across several teams
• ▹Work across teams to build a culture of iterative, autonomous development and future scaling
• ▹Mentor and grow other software engineers
• ▹Review specifications produced by architects and formal methods specialists
• ▹Lead the design of components and their interactions
• ▹Be available for emergency fixing of severity 1 issues on deployed products
• ▹Integrate software components and third-party libraries
• ▹Verify and deploy programs and systems
• ▹Write code documentation and technical user manuals
• ▹Write tests (unit tests, property tests)

Requirements

• ▹7+ years of software engineering experience in the required language (Haskell, JavaScript, Scala, Rust)
• ▹Strong experience with Rust in production environments
• ▹Expert-level understanding of Rust's ownership model, borrowing mechanics, lifetimes and concurrency paradigms
• ▹Experience developing web services and RESTful APIs
• ▹Understanding of HTTP protocols, accessibility and security compliance
• ▹Knowledge of distributed systems and network development
• ▹Experience with concurrent programming and multithreading
• ▹Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure
• ▹Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes)
• ▹Understanding of continuous integration and deployment pipelines
• ▹Experience with Git and Git workflow
• ▹Practical experience with Agile software development methods
• ▹Knowledge of functional and object-oriented programming paradigms
• ▹Experience with test-driven development

Nice to have

• ▹Degree in Computer Science (desirable but not essential)
• ▹Knowledge of cryptography protocols
• ▹Experience with Web3 technologies
