Java Services Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Design, implement and optimize highly transactional, scalable, low-latency server-side game services and APIs using Modern Java (Java 17/21+)
• ▹Work with domain experts and mathematicians to translate mathematical specifications and formulas into performant, scalable backend services
• ▹Standardize core calculation logic and business rules into reusable backend components
• ▹Participate in code reviews, share best practices and support the team's growth
• ▹Write unit tests, optimize service performance and ensure high-quality, reliable backend services

Requirements

• ▹2+ years of professional software development experience with expert-level proficiency in Modern Java (Java 17/21+)
• ▹Proven experience designing, building and optimizing distributed, high-throughput backend services
• ▹Upper-Intermediate English (or better) for daily collaboration across international hubs
• ▹Analytical mindset, rigorous attention to detail and a passion for code optimization

Nice to have

• ▹Academic or practical background in probability, statistics or general mathematical modeling
• ▹Familiarity with scripting languages for data verification, automation or validation pipelines
• ▹Production experience with relational databases (MySQL) and NoSQL structures for partitioning and high-concurrency persistence
• ▹Experience with AI-driven tooling, such as GitHub Copilot or LLM-integrated agents
