Senior Frontend Engineer (React + Chrome Extension)

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Build the Agent UI shell, the Chrome extension, the slide-out / pill workspace, the Control UI and the per-module panels
• ▹Build real-time UI over live voice, desktop and AI event streams
• ▹Own the React app and Chrome extension (Manifest V3, content scripts, injected iframe, page-overlay pill)
• ▹WebSocket-driven real-time UI, plugin / module-federation patterns, screen-real-estate management
• ▹Own the design system in code
• ▹Work in 1-week sprints with Friday demos and keep committed timelines

Requirements

• ▹7+ years of frontend experience; senior-level React and TypeScript mandatory
• ▹HTML5, JavaScript and graphics skills (canvas/SVG/WebGL, animation, rendering); mastery of the browser platform itself
• ▹Strong design/UI skills: professional-looking UIs without a designer holding your hand
• ▹Real Chrome Extension experience: Manifest V3, content scripts, the messaging model, injecting UI over a host page
• ▹Strong API skills and understanding of backend messaging systems (pub/sub, event streams, WebSocket) well enough to reason about ordering, reconnects and state sync
• ▹Heavy WebSocket / real-time UI experience, interfaces that update from a live event stream
• ▹Plugin / module-federation or dynamic-component-loading experience
• ▹Performance as a habit: render profiling, virtualization for dense data, sub-frame updates under a firehose event stream
• ▹State management under streaming data: optimistic updates, reconnect/replay handling, conflict resolution
• ▹Extension security fluency: CSP, sandboxing, isolated worlds
• ▹Automated UI testing (Playwright-class) as part of shipping
• ▹Accessibility and keyboard-first flows as defaults
• ▹Master debugger in the browser
