Backend Engineer – Voyager Team (Bridge)

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Maintain and evolve the mission-critical Ruby on Rails monolith at the core of the Bridge platform
• ▹Navigate architectural complexity and fix critical issues
• ▹Ensure new features (in Kotlin, Ruby, or TypeScript) integrate seamlessly
• ▹Develop Java/Kotlin SpringBoot-based REST APIs (~40% of time)
• ▹Work on the complex Ruby on Rails web application (~60% of time)
• ▹Work with PostgreSQL databases and AWS Aurora RDS clusters
• ▹Work with Apache Pulsar messaging, Debezium server-based ETL pipelines, AWS Neptune graph databases, and AWS OpenSearch

Requirements

• ▹Problem-solver mindset for complex codebases
• ▹Analytical thinking to navigate a large monolith and understand legacy logic
• ▹Polyglot background across multiple tech stacks
• ▹Direct communicator, comfortable with constructive friction and feedback
• ▹Java or Kotlin SpringBoot experience
• ▹Ruby on Rails experience
• ▹PostgreSQL database knowledge

Nice to have

• ▹React & TypeScript experience (strong advantage)
