Databricks Analytics Consultant (Semantic Layer & Governance)

Responsibilities

• ▹Develop SQL-based data models on Databricks for analytics, reporting and self-service BI
• ▹Own Unity Catalog setup and governance (lineage, access control, discoverability)
• ▹Create AI/BI dashboards and enable conversational analytics with Databricks Genie
• ▹Implement NL2SQL so business users can query data in natural language
• ▹Design a scalable semantic layer for consistent metrics
• ▹Set up Row-Level Security (RLS) and role-based access controls
• ▹Support integrations with downstream reporting tools

Requirements

• ▹6 to 10 years of experience in analytics engineering or data consulting
• ▹Strong hands-on expertise with Databricks SQL, Unity Catalog and governed analytics
• ▹Experience with semantic layer design and BI/AI dashboarding
• ▹Comfortable collaborating with international teams (project language: English)
• ▹Based in Germany, fully remote
