Responsibilities

• ▹Design, develop, and implement features that make the hosting platform faster, more reliable, and easier to scale
• ▹Deploy and run infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and automation
• ▹Operate and observe systems through metrics such as availability, latency, performance, capacity, and reliability
• ▹Refine and tune systems to eliminate bottlenecks and improve reliability
• ▹Improve monitoring and alerting to catch issues before they become outages
• ▹Share knowledge with other engineers and help raise the team's engineering bar

Requirements

• ▹Strong Linux OS experience (3+ years)
• ▹Ansible proficiency
• ▹Programming or scripting skills in Python or Go
• ▹Experience managing and optimizing web servers, databases, and caching systems
• ▹Familiarity with cloud environments like GCP
• ▹Solid grasp of networking fundamentals: DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP
• ▹Experience applying Infrastructure as Code principles and tools

Nice to have

• ▹DevOps practices and open-source contributions
• ▹CI/CD concepts and tools beyond GitHub Actions
• ▹Ability to read and understand Go and PHP code
• ▹Certifications like RHCSA or RHCE
