Staff Engineer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead and grow an engineering team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
• ▹Set and evolve technical strategy for developer platforms, dashboards, and internal tooling
• ▹Partner with Product and Design to deliver roadmap outcomes
• ▹Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, documentation, security, and operations
• ▹Own delivery health, sprint hygiene, and on-call/incident practices
• ▹Drive architecture decisions across front-end, back-end (tRPC encouraged), and deployment with Docker and CI/CD
• ▹Build a culture of ownership, feedback, and continuous improvement

Requirements

• ▹7+ years building software, including 2-4+ years leading teams (EM/Tech Lead/Head of Engineering)
• ▹Strong full-stack understanding with React and Node.js, modern front-end patterns, SSR/performance, API design
• ▹Experience shipping and operating production systems, including cloud, CI/CD, observability, and incident management
• ▹Proven ability to balance speed with quality in startup environments
