Lead Steam Turbine Mechanical Technical Advisor

Responsibilities

• ▹Fulfill contract responsibilities for designated and qualified skill set (Steam Turbine Mechanical, Generator)
• ▹Direct and oversee repair or inspection procedures using current documentation technologies
• ▹Recognize, predict, and document potential failures and future outage recommendations
• ▹Read and interpret prints, manufacturing drawings, P&IDs, and schematic drawings
• ▹Participate as a Service Team member dedicated to safety metrics
• ▹Pre-outage planning, recommending and administering policies and procedures
• ▹Lead execution and oversight of projects under the advisor's core competency
• ▹Support warranty administration and troubleshooting
• ▹Willingness to travel for field assignments, including holidays, weekends and overtime as required

Requirements

• ▹Technical/university degree or qualifying experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 7 years of field services experience
• ▹Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas or power plant maintenance, turbine generator maintenance, or power plant equipment installation/commissioning
• ▹3+ years of demonstrated progressive experience with various types of turbine generator equipment
• ▹Ability and willingness to travel 80% across North America (Canada, United States, Mexico)
• ▹Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted security access to nuclear facilities
• ▹Must be physically able to walk 5 miles per day, climb ladders and lift 20 lbs

Nice to have

• ▹Qualified level experience with successful steam turbine and generator installations and outages
• ▹Hands-on experience with GE, Alstom or other manufacturers' turbines
