Senior Backend Engineer

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Taking ownership, solving problems, and collaborating with other teams
• ▹Designing and implementing solutions from idea to production
• ▹Building for scale, availability, performance, and security across the stack
• ▹Working with product managers, architects, QA engineers, and other developers in a highly collaborative agile environment
• ▹Integrating new products and building internal services to support the ecosystem
• ▹Conducting code reviews and mentoring team members
• ▹Ensuring services are production-ready, observable, and maintainable through monitoring, alerting, and on-call participation

Requirements

• ▹6+ years of software development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Event-Driven Architectures
• ▹Experience designing microservices, Kubernetes, containerization (Docker), and Kafka messaging systems
• ▹Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and caching
• ▹Experience implementing resilience patterns (retries, circuit breakers, graceful degradation)
• ▹Designing and maintaining monitoring dashboards (metrics, logs, traces) and alerts
• ▹Hands-on experience developing highly scalable RESTful end-to-end microservices

Nice to have

• ▹Familiarity with Reactive Programming (e.g. RxJava) and Vert.x
• ▹Experience with AWS and Google Cloud Platform
• ▹Online gaming and gambling industry experience
