Software Engineer – 3D (World-Leading Furniture Company)

Responsibilities

• ▹Design and maintain 3D pipelines and tools
• ▹Develop and optimize 3D models, shaders, and images for various platforms
• ▹Identify and implement improvements to existing systems
• ▹Participate in agile development, delivering technical solutions
• ▹Code for both new initiatives and ongoing 3D projects
• ▹Contribute to complex 3D workflows
• ▹Collaborate closely with product owners and 3D artists

Requirements

• ▹Relevant post-secondary IT degree, e.g. computer science, engineering physics, or game programming
• ▹At least 3 years of experience in technical 3D development
• ▹Very good Python and C++ skills
• ▹Experience building and maintaining 3D pipelines, preferably with USD (Universal Scene Description)
• ▹Experience with DCC tools (e.g. Houdini, Maya, Blender) or game engines (Unreal Engine/Unity)
• ▹Fluent English, spoken and written

Nice to have

• ▹Background in game development or the VFX industry
• ▹Understanding of shading models
• ▹Experience with real-time or offline graphics, or CGI
• ▹Knowledge of Material X
• ▹Knowledge of Rust or cloud solutions (Azure)
