Technical Program Manager, Hardware Sensing

Oura is seeking a Staff-level Technical Program Manager (TPM) for its Hardware Program Management group to drive the hardware and firmware implementation of health-focused sensing technologies, acting as the key integrator between sensing, science, software, and design.

Responsibilities

  • Driving hardware/firmware and integration programs from concept to launch
  • Coordinating system integration and test plans closely with software, science, and other TPMs
  • Partnering with Product Management to translate requirements into HW/FW scope and integration plans
  • Building and maintaining schedules, dependencies, and risk mitigation plans
  • Supporting NPI build planning and execution
  • Providing clear, tailored updates to executives, engineers, and partners
  • Overseeing external partners for sensor and hardware/firmware development and manufacturing
  • Owning HW/FW and system integration testing and validation standards

Requirements

  • 10+ years driving hardware and firmware programs and leading integration across disciplines
  • Proven track record shipping innovative products with sensing components (consumer electronics/health tech preferred)
  • Strong technical depth in EE, ME, and firmware
  • Hardware and software expertise: NPI, prototyping, validation, scalable production, agile development
  • Cross-disciplinary collaboration with research, science, and design teams
  • Excellent communicator with strong negotiation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced PM tool proficiency (Linear, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet)
  • Thrives in ambiguity, fast-moving environments, and global cross-timezone programs

Nice to have

  • Experience with regulated medical devices (ISO 13485, FDA)
  • Knowledge of advanced health sensors and ultra-low-power development
  • Experience with global manufacturing and supply chains
