Senior Fullstack Engineer, Commerce Mission

Stack

Responsibilities

• ▹Own end-to-end features in Cart & Checkout, collaborating with Product, Design, Data, and partner engineering teams
• ▹Design and implement full-stack solutions using TypeScript, React/Next.js, Tailwind, AWS Lambdas, DynamoDB, Redis, and modern CI/CD
• ▹Lead technical design for high-impact initiatives: global checkout flows (multi-currency, taxation, shipping, localized UX), fraud and risk controls, new sales channels
• ▹Champion quality and operational excellence: well-tested, well-documented code, monitoring/alerting, safe rollouts with feature flags and A/B tests
• ▹Support on-call rotations, debugging and preventing incidents in critical revenue paths
• ▹Mentor engineers through design reviews, pairing, and code review; standardize patterns and best practices

Requirements

• ▹7+ years of software development experience
• ▹Strong TypeScript skills
• ▹Solid knowledge of API best practices, serverless patterns (AWS Lambdas), and Service-Oriented Architectures
• ▹Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, performant web services on AWS
• ▹DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipeline configuration, monitoring and observability, and quality alerting
• ▹Pragmatic, entrepreneurial attitude balancing short-term goals and long-term tech debt
• ▹Deep expertise in either Frontend (React/Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, web performance, accessibility, Jest/Playwright) or Backend (cloud web services, API design, data modeling, observability)

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with online payments, PSPs, digital wallets, 3DS, or fraud/risk systems
• ▹Experience with global commerce (multi-currency, localization, tax/shipping rules, regional content)
• ▹Experience building design systems, shared component libraries, and/or experimentation frameworks (feature flags, A/B tests)
• ▹Prior work on event-driven or serverless architectures at scale
