IT Specialist – Networks

Responsibilities

• ▹Troubleshoot and manage incidents in the municipalities' network environment
• ▹Implement changes and improvements to the network infrastructure
• ▹Implement network and security solutions
• ▹Work with routing, switching and firewalls
• ▹Manage VPN solutions and wireless networks

Requirements

• ▹Academic education, preferably IT-oriented, or experience deemed equivalent by the employer
• ▹At least five years of experience working with Cisco, Aruba or Fortinet within routing/switching and wireless networking
• ▹Good knowledge and understanding of networks, firewalls and IT infrastructure
• ▹Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written
• ▹Position is security-classified; a background check and security interview take place before employment, and Swedish citizenship is required

About the company

Sydnärkes IT-förvaltning is the merged IT department of the municipalities of Lekeberg, Askersund, Hallsberg and Laxå, delivering support, operations and development across 19 administrations and 8 municipal companies in 4 municipalities. The department currently has 21 employees, and the role sits in a 6-person unit responsible for IT infrastructure operations, within a 4-person network team.
