Responsibilities

• ▹Develop, support, test and maintain simulation software tools
• ▹Identify and understand the limitations of existing software components
• ▹Improve and develop simulation methodologies
• ▹Develop and maintain a library of linear solvers
• ▹Develop and maintain parallel software using different methodologies such as threading, MPI or CUDA
• ▹Plan and accomplish goals relying on experience and judgment
• ▹Communicate complex ideas and testing results effectively, both orally and in writing
• ▹Work independently and solve problems on own initiative
• ▹Provide accurate and effective written documentation

Requirements

• ▹PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related field
• ▹4-7 years of experience developing linear solvers and parallel programming
• ▹Strong proficiency in C++ or an equivalent object-oriented programming language
• ▹Extensive experience in software design
• ▹Experience in team-based software development (code sharing)
• ▹Experience developing direct linear solvers, iterative linear solvers and preconditioners
• ▹Experience with numerical methods and techniques for solving partial differential equations
• ▹Experience with CPU parallel programming (POSIX threads, STL threads, OpenMP or MPI)
