Working Student - Software Repository Management & Development Standards

Heraeus Covantics is looking for a working student who will help develop and standardize modern software development processes, create technical documentation, and support development teams with repository management tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the further development and standardization of modern software development processes
  • Contributing to technical and organizational tasks in exciting software projects
  • Analyzing existing tools, processes and project structures and identifying optimization potential
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, standards and best practices
  • Working closely with developers and project teams to gather requirements and implement improvements
  • Supporting the structuring and migration of repositories, and optimizing build, deployment and quality assurance processes

Requirements

  • Active enrollment in a computer science, business informatics or comparable degree program for the entire duration of employment
  • Good knowledge of Git, with initial experience in GitHub, GitLab or Azure DevOps
  • Initial practical experience in software development and basic understanding of modern development processes (branching, pull requests, code reviews)
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language, e.g. .NET/C#, Python or similar
  • Very good German and good English skills
  • Structured, independent way of working, analytical thinking, teamwork and initiative
