IT Expert – SAP Release & Test Management

Responsibilities

• ▹Own and shape SAP Application Lifecycle Management with a focus on test, release and transport management, and continuously develop the related standards, methods, tools and processes
• ▹Develop an overarching test and release strategy for the SAP landscape, actively driving test automation, regression testing and quality assurance
• ▹Coordinate SAP changes, test cycles, transport approvals, release windows and go-lives across systems, ensuring stable and controlled go-lives
• ▹Advise development, service and project teams on SAP changes, accompany projects from requirement through transition to operations, and support cutover and hypercare phases
• ▹Create transparency on test, release and change progress through KPIs, status reports and management reports, and prepare well-founded release decisions
• ▹Act as a quality gate ensuring compliance with guidelines, documentation, naming conventions, approval criteria and audit-proof requirements for development, customizing, transports, tests and releases

Requirements

• ▹Degree in (business) informatics or an equivalent qualification
• ▹Solid experience in an SAP environment, ideally in SAP ALM, change, release, test or transport management
• ▹Understanding of SAP system landscapes, development and customizing processes, and the requirements for controlled go-lives
• ▹Experience coordinating changes, tests, releases or transports, with a good sense for quality, risk and dependencies
• ▹Structured, reliable and quality-conscious way of working, able to present complex topics to IT, business units, projects and management
• ▹Very good German and good English skills

Nice to have

• ▹Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, ChaRM, SAP Cloud ALM, Jira, Tricentis Tosca or comparable ALM and test management tools
• ▹Practical experience in an industrial environment, S/4HANA transformations or international projects
