Dual Study Program - Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology

thyssenkrupp Rasselstein's dual study program combines a Fachinformatiker (IT systems integration) apprenticeship with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology. After a 15-month in-company training phase, students complete 7 semesters of study at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, mentored by a company engineer.

Responsibilities

  • In-company training phase (15 months): learning the fundamentals of administering IT systems across rotating departments
  • Studying Information Technology (7 semesters total) at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences
  • Working on varied projects mentored by a company engineer during semester breaks

Requirements

  • General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur)
  • Good grades in maths, physics and English
  • Spatial reasoning, technical understanding and manual dexterity
  • Normal color vision
