Member of Engineering (Interfaces, Full Stack)

Fullstack Developer • Remote • Full-time European Union (EMEA, EU/EMEA

Poolside's Interfaces team builds the product surfaces for the Model Factory, the company's industrial approach to model training. The role turns opaque parts of training - experiments, trajectories, evals, data inspection - into a product that researchers and engineers can see and use, from backend to web UI. As a full-stack product engineer you own surfaces end-to-end, shipping fast and iterating on feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Own product surfaces end-to-end, from backend services and APIs to the web UI
  • Turn opaque parts of model training (experiments, trajectories, evals, data inspection) into interfaces people trust and use every day
  • Deeply understand the needs of applied researchers, find bottlenecks, and ship new platforms and features
  • Build the platform other internal teams contribute their own UI into (an internal design system)
  • Quickly iterate on feedback, prioritizing adoption and usability
  • Uphold quality across the stack: performance, reliability, and high-utility interfaces

Requirements

  • Strong full-stack product engineering: building end-to-end, from data model to polished web UI
  • Product sense: intuition for user needs and the ability to make product decisions independently
  • Fluency in a modern web stack (e.g. TypeScript/React) and a backend language
  • Thriving in ambiguity and greenfield work, taking a loosely-defined problem to a shipped, adopted product
  • Low ego, collaborative, fast-moving, working closely with research, product, and infrastructure

Nice to have

  • A working understanding of how ML models are built (experiments, evals, training workflows), or real curiosity to learn it
  • Experience with data-analysis tooling, agent tooling, or AI products

Soft skills

Comfort with ambiguityCollaborative, low-ego attitudeStrong product sense and user focusOpenness to fast iteration

What we offer

  • Fully remote work and flexible hours
  • 37 days/year of vacation and holidays
  • Health insurance allowance for the employee and dependents
  • 16 weeks of flexible, full-pay parental leave
  • Well-being, always-be-learning, and home office allowances
  • Company-provided equipment
  • Frequent team get-togethers
