Responsibilities

• ▹Own BuildOps' data platform and architecture end to end (ingestion, transformation, orchestration, ML/streaming strategy)
• ▹Build scalable, repeatable customer and partner data onboarding capabilities
• ▹Run data systems with production-grade discipline (monitoring, alerting, SLAs, incident response, lineage)
• ▹Create the data foundation required for AI and ML products
• ▹Establish governance (access controls, data classification, audit trails, PII handling)
• ▹Hire, develop, and lead a strong data engineering team

Requirements

• ▹10+ years in data or software engineering, including building teams of 10+ engineers
• ▹Deep hands-on experience with modern data platforms (Snowflake or Databricks, dbt, ELT, Airflow, Kafka/Kinesis), AWS preferred
• ▹Direct experience building data systems supporting production ML use cases
• ▹Track record of operational excellence in data (monitoring, SLAs, incident response, data quality)
• ▹Experience delivering customer-facing data products in B2B SaaS
• ▹Strong architectural judgment (build vs. buy)
• ▹Pragmatic approach to governance

Nice to have

• ▹Early-stage or scale-up experience (Series B-D)
• ▹Vertical SaaS or construction tech experience
