Responsibilities

• ▹Identify and drive where ML/AI creates the most value across Productivity's user journeys
• ▹Toolify existing Productivity functionality so LLMs and agents can act on it
• ▹Partner with product, design, and engineering to shape AI strategy
• ▹Set technical patterns and standards for how ML/AI is applied and shipped
• ▹Unblock organizational-level technical challenges beyond a single team
• ▹Mentor engineers and raise the craft of applied ML engineering
• ▹Balance speed and rigor, shipping AI features that hold up at Canva's scale

Requirements

• ▹Hands-on experience applying ML/AI to real product problems in production
• ▹Comfort owning technical direction without everything handed to you
• ▹Method-agnostic approach, from classical models to the latest techniques
• ▹Ability to work across teams, influencing roadmaps as well as writing code
• ▹Pragmatic mindset: ship something useful and iterate rather than chase a perfect unused model
