Senior Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Provide technical consulting and product guidance to banks and other partners, primarily post-sale
• ▹Ensure partners deliver the best integration within their constraints for an excellent customer experience
• ▹Assist partners in the implementation phase, defining technical solutions and documenting requirements
• ▹Support business development by aiding larger partners requiring novel features, including technical scoping and feature design
• ▹Participate in feature definition, prioritisation, and long-term strategy planning with the Wise Platform team
• ▹Collaborate with Implementation Managers, Product Managers, and Engineers on product and project decisions
• ▹Design and develop new features for Wise services and expose them on the public API when needed
• ▹Work on scaling Wise Platform into new regions, overcoming associated challenges
• ▹Improve integration experience through documentation, APIs, SDKs, code samples, and reference implementations
• ▹Collaborate with the technical presales team to support the sales cycle and secure new partnerships
• ▹Enhance internal processes to handle multiple integrations in parallel
• ▹Troubleshoot, test, and resolve technical issues, aiding the API support team with complex problems

Requirements

• ▹Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, able to handle ambiguity and competing priorities
• ▹Familiarity with common design patterns and architectural principles: domain-driven design (DDD), event-driven architecture (EDA), microservices
• ▹Familiarity with Java (Spring), Kubernetes, AWS, and service mesh architectures, RESTful APIs, API design, Swagger, OpenAPI, and OAuth2
• ▹Working experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (e.g. MongoDB, Cassandra)
• ▹At least 6+ years in customer-facing engineering roles, ideally in financial services (e.g. solutions engineer, IT consultant, partner engineer, integration engineer, solutions consultant)
• ▹Clear communication and strong interpersonal skills
• ▹Customer-centric approach
• ▹Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• ▹Strong self-management skills, prioritizing tasks across various work streams
