Staff Systems Bring-Up Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Lead system enablement (first silicon and FW components) per plan of record and architecture spec
• ▹Drive org-wide methodology for firmware integration and HW/FW/SW configuration
• ▹Develop key methodologies, lab HW/SW capabilities, and debug tools for blade- and rack-level bring-up
• ▹Triage issues during server rack validation, post-silicon validation, and production phases
• ▹Own test plans and lead test case development/execution for CPU, GPU, memory, HBM, IO
• ▹Drive technical innovation across tooling, scripting, and methodology

Requirements

• ▹Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• ▹Extensive experience in first-silicon and system bring-up validation (OS, FW, silicon, HW)
• ▹Understanding of industry-standard buses (PCIe, CXL)
• ▹Experience enabling storage and networking capabilities (DNS, DHCP) in a lab environment
• ▹Strong knowledge of ARM CPU or x86 architecture, SoC design, memory, RAS and power management, HW/SW tools, revision control
• ▹Extensive knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy
• ▹Platform/system-level debug, OS, device driver, and BIOS interaction experience
• ▹Excellent communication and coordination skills
• ▹Detail-oriented, organized, able to juggle multiple workstreams
• ▹Deep experience with Linux and Windows, hypervisors (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V)
• ▹Technical program management experience
• ▹Thorough understanding of datacenter industry technologies and software stack
• ▹Self-starter, able to independently drive tasks

Nice to have

• ▹Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• ▹14+ years validating/debugging HW-FW-SW challenges in server compute rack or data center environments
• ▹Experience designing and deploying modern AI/ML rack-scale systems
• ▹Knowledge of hardware development industry standards and best practices
• ▹Familiarity with emerging AI and datacenter technologies
• ▹Comfortable collaborating with global ODM partners
