Responsibilities

• ▹Design and develop core backend services, APIs, and microservices that let product teams securely leverage AI models
• ▹Build scalable frameworks for multi-step agent workflows: task decomposition, tool invocation, persistent memory
• ▹Build evaluation systems to measure reasoning quality, hallucination rates, and task success
• ▹Architect high-performance serving infrastructure with strict latency, throughput, cost, and error-handling guarantees
• ▹Ensure comprehensive monitoring, structured logging, and distributed tracing across deployed AI models
• ▹Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers on self-serve infrastructure
• ▹Advocate for engineering best practices, conduct design/code reviews, mentor junior engineers

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's degree in CS, Mathematics, related field, or equivalent practical experience
• ▹2+ years of professional software engineering experience
• ▹Strong full-stack fundamentals across frontend, backend, and data layers
• ▹Excellent debugging and technical investigation skills
• ▹Strong technical communication, ideally in an async remote environment
• ▹Ability to move fast and iterate in ambiguous environments
• ▹Hands-on experience integrating and orchestrating LLMs and agents
• ▹Experience building and scaling AI-native systems in production

Nice to have

• ▹Familiarity with eval frameworks, agent tooling, vector search engines, context engineering, and prompt engineering
