Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• ▹Build and evolve horizontally scalable microservices, mostly in Clojure, using Finagle, functional programming, and hexagonal architecture
• ▹Develop high-throughput jobs and inter-service communication using Kafka
• ▹Maintain CI/CD pipelines on AWS
• ▹Build data storage solutions using Datomic and DynamoDB
• ▹Set up monitoring and observability with Prometheus
• ▹Run services in Kubernetes
• ▹Set technical direction for multiple teams, mentor engineers, participate in code reviews
• ▹Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders on new end-to-end experiences
• ▹Participate in on-call rotations and incident response

Requirements

• ▹At least 4 years of experience developing digital products in complex environments
• ▹Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud technologies
• ▹Proven track record designing and delivering large-scale systems serving thousands or millions of users
• ▹Strong background in object-oriented or functional programming languages, able to work across multiple languages
• ▹Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives across teams without direct authority
• ▹Experience mentoring senior engineers and raising the technical bar
• ▹Practical knowledge of agile methodologies and CI/CD
• ▹Strong communication skills to explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• ▹Advanced English skills
