System Engineer – Oracle Database Administration

Responsibilities

• ▹Manage and optimize Oracle databases in complex customer environments
• ▹Install, configure and maintain Oracle database systems
• ▹Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
• ▹Perform performance analyses, tuning and troubleshooting
• ▹Write automation scripts and collaborate with other IT teams to ensure database integrity and security

Requirements

• ▹Completed IT-related vocational training or degree, or equivalent qualification
• ▹Several years of relevant experience administering Oracle databases
• ▹Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting (e.g. Bash, Python)
• ▹Structured, independent way of working, strong communication and team skills
• ▹Very good German and good English skills

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform
