Staff Software Engineer – Power and Limits Management

Responsibilities

• ▹Design software solutions meeting power-efficiency requirements for current and next-generation chipsets across SoC subsystems
• ▹Perform detailed analysis of existing software to recommend performance, memory, and power optimizations
• ▹Develop tools for silicon profiling, validation, and debugging across SoC components
• ▹Participate in pre-silicon evaluations and sign-offs
• ▹Scope hardware acceleration opportunities and provide recommendations to the HW team
• ▹Develop firmware for memory- and CPU-constrained systems
• ▹Work with HLOS platforms (e.g., Android) on application cores for end-to-end performance

Requirements

• ▹Bachelor's + 4 years, Master's + 3 years, or PhD + 2 years of Software Engineering experience
• ▹2+ years of programming experience with C, C++, Java, Python, or similar

Nice to have

• ▹7-10 years of academic or industry experience in computer architecture (ARM preferred), Real-Time Operating Systems, C/ASM programming
• ▹Debugging real-time embedded systems using JTAG or equivalent
• ▹Compilers/linkers knowledge, Python scripting
• ▹Ability to read hardware programming guides and write drivers/software based on them
• ▹Machine learning experience
• ▹Agile development, Kanban, version control systems (Perforce/Git)
