Responsibilities

• ▹Install, configure and update DB2 instances on Linux environments
• ▹Create, modify and operate DB2 Linux databases, including data migrations and performance analysis
• ▹Use database tools and utilities such as load, runstats and reorg
• ▹Support projects from data modeling through technical implementation in test databases to deployment in production
• ▹Import the ABS core software delivery and set up and operate development, test, integration and production environments
• ▹Analyze business requirements of the specific business area and coordinate customer requirements
• ▹Implement release changes, including off-hours availability based on Allianz release schemes and procedures
• ▹Optimize and tune SQL queries together with development teams
• ▹Perform HADR (High Availability Disaster Recovery), optionally using Pacemaker
• ▹Carry out database cloning activities and use monitoring tools such as IBM Data Server Manager
• ▹Create automation scripts using bash (optionally Perl)

Requirements

• ▹Minimum of 4 years of experience as a DB2 Linux DBA in similar environments
• ▹Strong database management, performance analysis and optimization skills
• ▹Knowledge of monitoring tools and database cloning activities
• ▹Proficiency in Linux, particularly Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• ▹Ability to create automation scripts using bash
• ▹Experience with GitHub for version control and collaboration
• ▹Basic knowledge of AI technologies, principles and their practical use

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with HADR and Pacemaker
• ▹Perl scripting
• ▹Knowledge of Microfocus and JCL for mainframe operations
• ▹Use of IBM Data Server Manager
