Responsibilities

• ▹Lead architecture for reusable, scalable systems across off-platform workflows, cleanrooms and taxonomy automation
• ▹Evolve core abstractions, testing, CI/CD, observability and cost efficiency; drive modernization
• ▹Off-platform: expand integrations with external ad platforms, design privacy-forward activation/identity workflows, build measurement ingestion pipelines
• ▹Cleanrooms: extend cleanroom orchestration and governance tooling, develop reusable query templates, optimize pipelines
• ▹Ads taxonomy: lead intake automation and release workflow improvements
• ▹AI-first engineering: use AI-assisted tools daily for design, coding, tests and docs
• ▹Product quality, privacy and security: champion security-by-design and data governance compliance
• ▹Mentor engineers; set code quality and review standards

Requirements

• ▹8+ years of software engineering experience (typically 10+ for this level), delivering large-scale backend/data systems and leading architectural decisions
• ▹Strong programming skills across multiple backend languages; REST/gRPC services/APIs; third-party API integrations
• ▹Building and scheduling data pipelines; large-scale data processing frameworks; advanced SQL and performance tuning
• ▹Experience with cloud and data warehouse technologies (e.g. Snowflake, AWS); cost-aware design; workflow orchestration and event-driven patterns
• ▹Experience with ad-tech/programmatic and measurement integrations; data cleanrooms; identity matching
• ▹Working knowledge of privacy and compliance practices
• ▹CI/CD, containers, test strategy; observability tools; incident readiness
• ▹Demonstrated, recent hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools
• ▹Clear technical writing and stakeholder management skills

Nice to have

• ▹Direct experience with major ad platform integrations and measurement pipelines
• ▹Catalog/taxonomy, entity lineage, or custom hierarchy systems
• ▹Data warehouse governance patterns, partner data collaboration at scale
• ▹Vendor/partner management and external API certification programs
• ▹Building AI-powered internal tools (e.g. chatbots, data assistants)
