Responsibilities

• ▹Lead the design and delivery of scalable microservices for high-volume, real-time messaging workloads
• ▹Own end-to-end feature development, from architecture and design through deployment
• ▹Drive improvements in system observability (logging, monitoring, alerting)
• ▹Influence technical strategy by evaluating cloud technologies and distributed system patterns
• ▹Partner with cross-functional teams to align platform capabilities with business needs
• ▹Ensure compliance with global security and regulatory standards (PCI, HIPAA, GDPR)
• ▹Mentor engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing
• ▹Experiment with new technologies and AI-assisted development workflows

Requirements

• ▹6+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on backend and distributed systems
• ▹Demonstrated expertise building and operating scalable, cloud-native applications
• ▹Proficiency in TypeScript and Java across multiple backend technologies
• ▹Experience managing the full software development lifecycle
• ▹Strong understanding of RESTful API design and service-oriented architecture
• ▹Experience with NoSQL or relational databases in high-scale environments
• ▹Hands-on experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices
• ▹Strong problem-solving skills

Nice to have

• ▹Experience with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis)
• ▹Strong understanding of distributed system design, scalability, and high availability
• ▹Experience building or supporting real-time messaging or collaboration platforms
• ▹Familiarity with multiple programming languages (Java, JavaScript, TypeScript)
• ▹Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools and workflows
